Survey: Business travelers are stressed without Web

“When I go to a hotel, and I go into a new city, I have to survive that day and wherever I stay, the quicker I can communicate back home, the quicker I’m going to do that.” Internet access is so important to travelers that 69% said they’d be very unhappy glass beads if they had no way to connect to loved ones back home. And 83% said that free Internet access would make them much happier while traveling for business. TWITTER: Follow USA TODAY Travel’s Nancy Trejos High-end hotels have drawn criticism for their reluctance to offer free Internet to guests in their rooms compared with budget chains, which have been quicker to do so. But IHG recently announced that it will give free Internet access read this to all members of its newly-named loyalty program, IHG Rewards Club, whether they’re staying for the night or having an impromptu meeting in the lobby.
